Greenvale AP reveals plans to install wind turbine at Fenland factory
Potato supplier Greenvale AP has revealed plans to install a wind turbine at its factory in Fenland.
Plans have been submitted to Fenland District Council for a temporary 60-metre tall wind mast at the Flood's Ferry factory, near Doddington.
A spokesman for Greenvale said: "Greenvale AP is dedicated to reducing our environmental impact, and we are excited about the potential opportunity to generate our own renewable energy which would go a long way towards making our Doddington site a sustainable Fenland business."
Greenvale has teamed up with Wind Direct, which specialises in the installation of wind turbines on commercial and industrial sites across the UK, to measure the viability of installing a wind turbine at the factory.
