Seed Potato Seminar

Porbatata, in partnership with ANSEME, will hold the Seminar on Seed Potatoes on 22 October 2024 , which will take place at NECE – Escaroupim Testing and Control Center, in Salvaterra de Magos.

This event will be an opportunity for all industry stakeholders to learn about the new legal obligations that come into force from 1 January 2025, relating to packaging management, which are essential for those who sell seed potatoes. The session will also include a presentation on the new developments in the PRM Regulation and their impact on food quality and safety, as well as the risks associated with the use of non-certified seeds.

The seminar program will feature the participation of industry experts, including VALORFITO, DGAV and ASAE, who will address topics such as control and monitoring of non-compliance, as well as providing the latest industry statistics.

The highlight of the event will be the Round Table, moderated by José Diogo Albuquerque, where representatives from Torriba (Producers Organization), INVENTA (Intellectual Property), DGAV and ASAE will discuss the Challenges and Opportunities in the Management and Commercialization of Seed Potatoes.
