North Korea: Earlier Potato Planting Brisk

Earlier potato planting is being hastened in rural areas across the DPRK. Agricultural workers in South Hwanghae Province finished earlier potato planting in the shortest time.

Anak County, which made full preparations such as securing high-yielding seeds with strong resistance to disease, finished potato planting in the right time and properly, paying attention to satisfying the technical requirements in each process. 

The agricultural workers in Chongdan County have scrupulously planted potatoes, observing the state of germinated seeds. Kaesong Municipality finished potato planting, setting daily quotas and registering high results. 

Farms in Phanmun and Kaephung districts and Jangphung County made preparations for farming with the main emphasis on minimizing damage caused by disastrous meteorological phenomena and, on this basis, have positively applied the efficient working methods. 

Kaechon City, Mundok County and other cities and counties of South Phyongan Province have planted potatoes in large areas every day by raising the operation rate of farm machines and giving precedence to ploughing. 

Pyongyang and Nampho municipalities and North Phyongan Province have expanded the achievements in potato planting.
