Urschel Adds Two More Machines to the Comitrol Processor Line

Urschel, the Global Leader in Food Cutting Technology, has released two new machines. The Comitrol® Disc Mill 380 (DM380) and the Comitrol® Processor 3640A (3640A). 

The DM380 is ideal for processing nuts in small batches or high-volume continuous production. The unique disc plate design and adjustable gap setting allow for a wide variety of nuts to be processed. The machine reduces whole/split nuts into a flowable nut paste or nut butter.

Butter texture is controlled through the plate gap adjustment. DM380 can be employed as a high-capacity pre-mill in conjunction with a Comitrol Processor 1700 to produce a smooth finished product. 

The 3640A is ideal for processing tough or fibrous products in small volume to high-capacity production environments. Equipped with VFDs (variable frequency drives) on both the impeller motor and the screw feeder motor, this allows increased speeds to be achieved for greater processing versatility.

This variable speed option on the impeller motor accomplishes speed controls between 1,500 up to 6,000 rpm. Retracting and swivel action built into feed hopper design eases maintenance.
