Leading processing and packaging solutions provider tna is excited to announce that it’s made an additional key appointment to its growing team of food processing experts. This further cements the company’s position as a provider of start-to-finish solutions.

Carel Pfaff joins the team as group product manager – processing to head up tna’s processing portfolio, including the company’s FOODesign and Florigo range of innovative pre-processing and high-performance frying equipment. Based in tna’s Woerden facility in the Netherlands, Carel will work closely with tna’s engineers and global sales team to further develop the company’s processing portfolio, capabilities and services.

As part of his role, Carel will be managing new product development processes, training tna’s global sales team and supporting tna’s customers with his market insights, technical know-how and performance-driven strategies.

Having started his career in Florigo’s engineering department, Carel previously held positions as sales manager at some of the leading food processing companies like Kiremko and bakery and confectionery equipment manufacturer Haas-Mondomix, providing him with experiences in both the potato snack and baked goods industry.

Peter Oussoren, chief sales officer at tna:

“The processing side of our business has grown exponentially over the last few years.”

“There is particularly high demand for our innovative frying technology as manufacturers are starting to see the long-term benefits this type of equipment can have on their overall profitability levels. With his technical expertise, engineering skills and customer service experience, Carel will be instrumental in finding the right solutions for all of our customers’ needs.”

“Whether they’re looking for ultra-high capacity batch-fryers, industry-leading steam peeling technology or the most innovative vacuum frying equipment, Carel’s knowledge and passion for the industry will add immense value to our customers.”

Carel Pfaff, commenting on his appointment:

“I’m thrilled to be given the opportunity to help tna further grow its processing portfolio.”

“Increasing output and reducing the number of rejects are vital for any snack manufacturer and even more so for those that work with expensive raw materials like oil and ingredients that are exposed to regular price fluctuations such as potatoes and other vegetables.”

“tna’s integrated processing solutions are well-placed to help manufacturers mitigate the effects of these challenges and I look forward to sharing my knowledge and expertise in this field with both the team and our customers.”
