Tolsma-Grisnich acquires rights of Samro clod and stone separators

Tolsma-Grisnich of Emmeloord recently acquired the rights for Samro clod and stone separators. The Swiss company Samro has a long and successful history in this area of the market. With this takeover, Tolsma-Grisnich is securing an important extension of their product range.

Clod and stone separators

The unique principle of the current generation of Samro clod and stone separators is based on the magnetising of stones and clods within the dry product flow. These are then subsequently detected by sensors, enabling pneumatic ejectors to remove them from the product flow. Control of the machine is exceptionally simple; only the sensor sensitivity has to be adjusted – all other functions are fully automated.

Cleaning performance is 95%

The clod and stone separator is principally used for the processing of potatoes and onions and can be supplied with an hourly output of between 20 and 50 tonnes of product. Cleaning performance is 95% if the machine's full output is utilised. This machine is suitable for use by both arable farmers and the processing industry; it can be deployed as a stand-alone unit within a processing line or installed within a fixed configuration. Any investment pays for itself within a few years by virtue of the machine's highly efficient operation.

Tolsma-Grisnich foresees good sales opportunities for the clod and stone separator in both the Netherlands and its major export regions.
