Ishida invests in Benelux market

Ishida invests in Benelux market
februari 10, 2014
Ishida Europe BV has made a number of key sales and service appointments and is investing in a new customer demonstration area as part of the company’s ambitious growth plans to support the Benelux market.

The company says it is experiencing strong demand across its entire product range which, in addition to multihead weighers and checkweighers, now includes tray- sealers, X-ray systems, seal testers and snack food bagmakers. In particular, customers are increasingly looking to a single supplier to design and install complete packing lines.

To provide focused support for its product ranges, Ishida has appointed dedicated sales managers – Rob Bonsma and Joey Faes - for its weighers and inspection systems respectively. In addition, a dedicated OEM Manager, Arno Wördemann, is responsible for co-ordination with external equipment suppliers as part of Ishida’s bespoke packing line service.

Project managers are available for multinational customers to provide localised support in the Benelux region, while Ishida’s specialised Line Solutions department, working in co-operation with Meyn Food Processing Technology B.V., supports the development and installation of fully integrated fresh chicken processing and packing solutions.

The company has also appointed three additional service engineers as part of its after sales support. As well as a comprehensive installation service, Ishida offers a variety of service contracts to help customers maintain their equipment in the best possible condition for efficient, reliable operation and minimal unplanned downtime.

The new Demonstration Area at Ishida Europe BV’s headquarters will allow customers to see working examples of the latest Ishida innovations, and enable them to run individual line tests on their products. Ishida will also be able to offer training courses. The new facility will be opened in April with a series of special customer days.

“The Benelux market is very important to us, and this is why we are continuing to invest in staff, services and facilities in order to deliver the best customer experience,” comments Theo de Koning, General Sales Manager, Ishida Europe BV.

In Belgium, Ishida continues to be supported by its longstanding agent BRN, which offers comprehensive sales and service support for all Ishida equipment in the devising of complete packing line solutions.
