Agrico potato variety Gourmandine to sweep through the UK
Agrico signed a contract with the company Albert Bartlett for the introduction of the successful potato variety Gourmandine in the UK. This took place in Berlin, during the second day of the Fruit Logistica trade show.
Gourmandine, which is particularly successful as a table potato and salad speciality, has for many years been doing extremely well in several European countries. In France the variety was recently even proclaimed the tastiest potato for the third time in the annual “Flavour of the Year” contest.
The variety’s great success is the reason why Albert Bartlett is now going to introduce Gourmandine in British supermarkets too. This company has already successfully marketed several varieties in Britain.
