Tong Peal Engineering have some exciting new product launches to be revealed alongside their product showcase of its latest range of grading, washing and weighing equipment at British Potato 2011.

The UK’s leading designer and manufacturer of agricultural handling and sorting equipment will be present on two stands at Britain’s leading potato event, to showcase a number of new products from its 2011 range, including the UniFill.

Visitors to British Potato 2011 will also get the chance to see the latest range of 2011 farm equipment on outside stand OS03, including the new 2012 Caretaker mobile grader, 160 degree box tipper, EasyFill box filler and new crop cleaning equipment.

The event will give vistors the perfect opportunity to talk to the Tong Peal team about the latest technological developments, including energy saving measures and touch-screen control, which is available on all of its latest machinery. “At Tong Peal we are dedicated to listening to our customers and taking feedback on board to help develop new and effective ways to grade, weigh and wash crop,” said Nick Woodcock, sales manager at Tong Peal Engineering.

The UniFill Big Bag and Box Filler will be on show on the company's indoor stand number 421 and is one of the most versatile fillers within the Tong Peal range. It offers speedy yet gentle filling of both boxes and big bags – perfect for growers or packhouses who are looking to offer flexibility to meet changing demands from customers.

Fully automatic, to ensure continuous operation and full electronic control, the UniFill can process between 15-20 tonnes per hour. For ease of use, it features a lever mechanism, which allows the bag hooks to be brought down to operator height for the bag to be fitted to the machine – the lever is then used to return the bag hooks to the correct/top position for filling. The UniFill can be programmed to fill a wide variety of boxes and bag sizes, up to a 1,200kg capacity.

“British Potato is a highly successful event, attracting an increasing amount of visitors from across the globe, so it is the perfect opportunity for us to showcase their latest equipment,” added Nick.
