Potato Council looking for nominations for potato award
The Potato Council is seeking nominations for this year’s British Potato Industry Award. The award is presented to an individual recognised for their outstanding contribution to the GB potato industry.
Allan Stevenson, PCL Council chairman, comments: ".... In my role as the PCL Chairman I see many examples of success in our industry across a broad spectrum of areas in production, processing, and research for example, as well as those who give freely of their valuable time to support PCL committees and engage with us in other ways. Our past winners were, and many still are, leaders in their field.
Please help us find a new, worthy winner for 2010 who is a leader today."
Anyone wishing to nominate a person for the British Potato Industry Award should send a nomination form to the award committee secretary by 31 July 2010. The award committee, drawn from the different sectors of the GB potato industry, will select the winner.
The winner of this prestigious award will receive a sterling silver rose bowl which will be presented later in the year.
