Up to 20 workers have left their jobs at the Tayto crisp factory in Corby which is under threat of closure.

Eastern European workers have taken the decision to return home because of the uncertainty of jobs at the Tayto plant.

The Irish crisp company announced in July its intention to hold consultations with its 264 workers over redundancy after Proctor &Gamble decided to cancel its contract with the firm to produce Pringles Minis in the UK.

This was the main product made at the factory in Corby.
