Europatat, the European Union of the Potato Trade, is inviting its members and the other links in the potato trade at its 60th general assembly in the Swiss capital Berne from 29 till 31 May 2008.
The congress is composed out of 3 pillars: the commissions’ meetings and the general assembly (only for members) on Tuesday 29 May, the Europatat workshop (open for all links of the potato chain) on Friday 30 May and a social gathering for all participants on Saturday 31 May.
Commissions keep a close track of the topical events in the potato sector. On Thursday 29 May the Europatat commissions on RUCIP, seed potatoes, early &ware potatoes gathers the members on a number of topical items for the trade in seed and consumption potatoes. These commission meetings as well as the general assembly, where the outcome of these discussions are reported, are exclusive for members of the national associations, member of Europatat or the associated membersAt the general assembly two new vice presidents will also be elected.
