Bedrijfsprofiel

AKV is a Danish farmer-owned cooperative founded in 1933 that specializes in producing high-quality potato starch and protein for the worldwide food and feed industries.

AKV Langholt AmbA is a Danish cooperative owned by over 200 local farmers that grow high-quality potatoes for ingredient production. AKV, located in northern Denmark, processes approximately 340,000 tons of potatoes per year from late August to December, producing between 80,000 and 90,000 tons of native potato starch and 4,000 tons of protein.

Over 95% of their starch products are shipped globally, primarily to the food industry. The company's product line includes premium potato starch, which is noted for its high peak viscosity and low gelatinization temperature, making it ideal for use in soups, noodles, extruded items, meats, sauces, and dry mixes.

Furthermore, AKV provides natural potato protein that is high in essential amino acids and suitable for a variety of feed applications, including piglet feed and pet food.
