In Belarus, the Tolochin Cannery has launched a line for the production of frozen semi-finished french fries. This is the first production of such products in the country.

The construction of the modern plant took more than three years. It was conducted in accordance with the State Program for Innovative Development of the Republic of Belarus for 2016-2020. The project was financed from various sources, including the republican and regional innovation funds.

The capacity of the new plant is 2 tons per hour. The annual volume is about 3.5 thousand tons of frozen french fries. Previously, the country imported about 5 thousand tons of this product per year. And the new enterprise will almost completely cover the internal needs of the country and will export frozen potato straws. In particular, the Tolochin cannery has already shipped 22 tons of frozen french fries to Russia.

The production process of the semi-finished product includes washing potatoes, roasting, slicing, and shock freezing. The product is packaged in bags weighing 750 g and 2.5 kg. The Innovator potato variety is used in the production of frozen fries. The technical conditions and standards of the new line meet the requirements of KFC and McDonald's.
