Herbort Static Steam Peeler (HSSP)
Herbort will present its static steam peeler, industrial microwave at Interpom
On November 27, 28 and 29, Herbort will attend the Interpom Expo in Kortrijk, Belgium. On this tradeshow that is almost entirely focused on the potato sector, Herbort will present several unique processing machines in hall 5, booth 511, jointly with Spiessens.
It ensures the absolute minimum steam exposure time for products resulting in higher usable product yield. The HSSP has the lowest product losses and lowest steam consumption in its field.

The inclination and low placement of the belt assures great disposal of product residue like flakes band puree. The distance between steam peeling and potato peel removal is smaller. This means the tubers are less likely to be cooked, and the peeling happens quickly.

Spiessens teamed up with MEAM to create an innovative industrial microwave. It can be used for food preparation, regeneration of chilled or frozen prepared meals or meal components, drying of food components (primary, secondary, and side streams) and other applications such as pasteurization. This machine has a bunch of unique benefits, which they would love to explore with you at Interpom 2022.
The Herbort Static Steam Peeler (HSSP)
The Herbort Static Steam Peeler (HSSP) is truly unique. Most steam peelers have a rotating pressure vessel, but the Herbort steam peeler has a static, and thus stationary, cast steel pressure vessel instead. This has multiple advantages like high dry matter content of peel waste, low maintenance, easy to clean and higher durability. It ensures the absolute minimum steam exposure time for products resulting in higher usable product yield. The HSSP has the lowest product losses and lowest steam consumption in its field.

The Herbort Inclining Brushing Belt (HIBB)
The Herbort Inclining Brushing Belt (HIBB) is a perfect fit for your steam peeling line. Putting this brushing belt after your steam peeler will provide the cleanest possible peeling of your produce. The HIBB is placed in C-form on a slope, which provides several benefits. The inclination and low placement of the belt assures great disposal of product residue like flakes band puree. The distance between steam peeling and potato peel removal is smaller. This means the tubers are less likely to be cooked, and the peeling happens quickly.
