A state-of-the-art manufacturer of vacuum-packed, cooked potato products is being established in Central Europe.
In Slovakia, right in the heart of Europe, the Liptovská potravinárska spoločnosť (Liptovská food company) has launched its state-of-the-art production. The company applies a unique and hi-tech concept for the processing and production of potatoes: the final product is cleaned, cooked and vacuum-packed potatoes of the highest quality suitable for the gastro and retail segments.
The company’s storage capacity for production is 5000 tons, and the production itself takes place over an area of 1500 square metres. The modern line has a production capacity of 3000 kg per hour. The production process includes several steps; the company applies steam peeling
Then the potatoes are cut into various shapes, based exactly on the client’s requirements. The current shape options are: whole potatoes (size 40 mm+), side quarters, slices, balls (20-40 mm), cubes (10-20mm), half-moons and American potatoes. After being cut to a specific shape, the potatoes are blanched and packed in a vacuum foil, then sterilized in an autoclave. Packaging options range from 450g to 4000g, depending on the client’s requirements.
The new modern company based in Ružomberok, in the Liptov region, thus far only covers the domestic market, the Slovak market in the HORECA area, and is currently entering the retail market with smaller packages under the new PÁN ZEMIAK (MR. POTATO) brand.
Thanks to the modern large-scale production, however, it is open to new cooperation throughout Europe in the mentioned segment for the production of peeled, cooked and vacuum-packed potatoes. The Liptovská Food Company is seeking partners for the delivery of product, the export of finished products according to client requirements.
It is also ready for cooperation in the making of new products, such as the production division of a foreign company in Slovakia, and any possibility of cooperating with manufacturing and trading companies across the whole of Europe.
