Tolsma-Grisnich takes full ownership of Farm Electronics, its UK Potato Storage Systems subsidiary
The Tolsma-Grisnich Group, specialized in potato storage and potato handling, will take full ownership of its UK subsidiary Farm Electronics
In June 2016, the Tolsma-Grisnich Group acquired a controlling interest in Farm Electronics Ltd. Both parties are now ready for the next step, and have reached an agreement whereby Tolsma-Grisnich will take over the full share portfolio of Farm Electronics effective from 1 January 2019.
This means that Farm Electronics will be entirely under the wing of the Tolsma-Grisnich Group as of the first of January.
Substantial investments have been made in the organisation since the controlling interest was acquired. The purpose of this is to future-proof Farm Electronics, ensuring that Tim Dudfield and Paul Jackson can safely transfer their responsibilities to the new management team before they retire.
Both the organisation and the 'Farm Electronics' brand will be maintained, and it is intended that the business will develop into a fully-fledged member of the Tolsma-Grisnich Group.

“With the take-over of Farm Electronics, Tolsma-Grisnich is taking an important step towards fulfilling its ambition to become a leading player in the storage technology market in the United Kingdom.”
“We are happy with this full takeover because both of us have our own qualities, and will reinforce one another directly. In this way we will accelerate our professionalisation process, without any compromise of our innovative power. Together we can serve the market better, and together with our customers we can take the step towards the realisation of innovative storage technology concepts.”
“The Grisnich product range is ready to respond to the more complex demands coming from the processing industry, whereby the engineering of total systems (concept) will meet the trends towards scale enlargement, professionalisation and digitalisation.”
“Tolsma-Grisnich is also responding to Brexit; local production in the UK will be further extended, while innovative products, expertise and experience will be contributed from the Netherlands.”
