Potato production in the Moscow Oblast in 2018 increased by 37% compared to the volumes of the previous year.

This is reported by the press service of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Russian Federation with reference to the Minister of Agriculture and Food of the Moscow Oblast Andrei Razin.

Andrei Razin, Minister of Agriculture and Food of the Moscow Oblast:

“According to operational data, as of September 11, in the agricultural organizations of the Moscow Region, the gross potato harvest amounted to 68.2 thousand tons.”

“This is 37% more than last year, when 49,8 thousand tons were harvested. Removed already 2.63 thousand hectares.”
The total area of ​​planting potatoes in the region is equal to 13.7 thousand hectares, and the average yield of 34.8 tons / ha.

Earlier, FruitNews agency wrote that, according to operational data, as of August 14, more than 6 thousand tons of potatoes were harvested in the Moscow region .
