Potato Cooperative Agrico celebrates the start of the construction of its 'Quality Centre'
Potato cooperative Agrico has celebrated the start of the construction work of its 'Quality Centre' to monitor the quality and vitality of its potato varieties.
The facility will be built on a plot on De Munt industrial zone in Emmeloord, close to Agrico's head office. The first pole was driven into the ground earlier this week.
Reliability and quality are top priorities at Agrico. Agrico is building a quality centre to improve the level of monitoring of its potato varieties. The centre will enable Agrico to perform inspections efficiently to obtain greater insight into the quality and, above all, vitality of its potatoes.
The centre will use the latest technology to register all relevant research data. This data will offer insight into the quality of all potatoes marketed by Agrico and will also be used to optimise the cultivation and storage methods.
The Quality Centre is expected to positively contribute to the quality and sales of Agrico products. Construction work on the centre is scheduled for completion in autumn 2018.
