Utz Quality Foods announces new members to Executive Leadership Team
Dylan Lissette, Chief Executive Officer of Utz Quality Foods, LLC., recently announced the addition of three new consumer packaged goods industry executives to the company’s senior team in April, 2017: Tom Flocco as President and Chief Operating Officer; Mark Schreiber as Executive Vice President and Chief Customer Officer; and Jay Thompson as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer.
As President and COO, Mr. Flocco brings over 30 years of CPG experience, most recently as an operating partner, Chairman and CEO with several PE backed companies. He also spent nine years with Fortune Brands, six of which as President & CEO of Beam Suntory, and eight years with McKinsey & Co. as a partner in their consumer practice. While at Beam, Mr. Flocco helped build the company into the number four global spirits company in the world. His focus will be on executing Utz’s strategy, while managing the day-to-day operations.
As EVP Sales and CCO, Mr. Schreiber also brings over 30 years of CPG experience, having spent the last nine-plus years leading Pepperidge Farms’ sales efforts as Senior Vice President of Sales and Distribution. In his role at Pepperidge, Mr. Schreiber was the sales leader for this $1.6B division of Campbell’s Soup, as well as overseeing all aspects of distribution. At Utz, Mr. Schreiber will focus his efforts on the sales teams, distributor partners and customers, as well as overseeing marketing across the brand portfolio.
As EVP and CFO, Mr. Thompson brings an extensive background in Financial Planning & Analysis, Strategic Planning, Accounting and Treasury with both Private Equity backed and public companies. Mr. Thompson has a solid understanding of Fast Moving Consumer Goods businesses, having worked previously at Pepsico and Chobani. His previous work experience includes time at Bain & Company, Goldman Sachs and KPMG. Mr. Thompson was most recently Chief Financial Officer at Armstrong Flooring, a publicly traded $1.2B international building products company. Mr. Thompson will assume leadership in all aspects of Finance and Accounting at Utz.
These three additions will join two existing members on the executive team at Utz; Tucker Lawrence, Executive Vice President and Chief Production & Planning Officer, and Todd Staub, Executive Vice President and Chief Administration Officer. Mr. Lawrence will continue overseeing the manufacturing network, as well as logistics, product quality, product innovation and purchasing. Mr. Staub will work closely with the leadership team on strategic initiatives and M&A activity, as well as overseeing Human Resources, IT and Administration.
