National Potato Council Leadership for 2014 elected
At the National Potato Council’s (NPC) 2014 Annual Meeting, held January 10-11, 2014, in San Antonio, Texas, Randy Hardy from Hardy Farms in Oakley, Idaho, was elected to serve as NPC’s president for 2014 and to lead the council’s Executive Committee.
NPC delegates also approved Dan Lake from Ronan, Mont., as first vice president and vice president of the Environmental Affairs Committee.
Additional members of the Executive Committee include: Nels Iverson of Woodburn, Ore., as vice president of the Finance and Office Procedures Committee; Jim Tiede of American Falls, Idaho, as vice president of the Legislative and Government Affairs Committee; and, Dwayne Weyers of Center, Colo., as vice president of the Grower and Public Relations Committee.
One new member of the Executive Committee was elected: Cully Easterday of Pasco, Wash., who will serve as vice president of the Trade Affairs Committee. Randy Mullen of Pasco, Wash., NPC’s 2013 president, will continue to serve on the Executive Committee as the immediate past president.
The delegates also elected the 2014 Board of Directors.

As president, Hardy will host the 2014 NPC Summer Meeting, June 25-27, in Sun Valley, Idaho.
