Jan van Hoogen appointed managing director Agrico
Today, Jan van Hoogen was appointed managing director of potato cooperative Agrico. He will lead the organisation in close cooperation with a management team.
The supervisory board scrutinised Agrico’s management structure. The supervisory body opted for a new management structure, in which the cooperation is headed by a single person, the managing director. The managing director will lead the organisation in close cooperation with a management team.
On behalf of the supervisory board, acting chairman Mr Jan Wolthuis announced that Jan van Hoogen was appointed managing director: “We are particularly pleased to be able to announce Jan van Hoogen’s appointment today and naturally wish him the best of luck in his new job.” The works council has advised positively on the appointment. The board of members, too, is favourable to Jan van Hoogen’s appointment to managing director.
In 1989, Jan van Hoogen started his career with Agrico as seed potato export manager. In 2001, he became seed potato sales manager and, two years later, deputy director. After Mr Kees van Arendonk left in 2007, he was appointed commercial director. Jan van Hoogen is pleased with his appointment, but does not want to dwell on it: “We have plenty of work to do in a dynamic world. Anticipating the developments of today, tomorrow and beyond is and continues to be our challenge”.
