Good potato harvest in Switzerland

This year the Swiss potato harvest is high in quality and quantity. Right now there are 70,000 tonnes of potatoes in store for fresh consumption.

This stock can be divided into a surprisingly large stock of over 35,000 tonnes of waxy varieties, and around the same amount of mealy (starchy [mealy] potatoes as last year, with 30,138 tonnes.

The quality of the potatoes is very good. The stock of potatoes for processing is higher than ever before with 111,476 tonnes.
