Toner Farms Ltd. of Grand Falls was named the 2009 McCain Champion Potato Grower for Grand Falls.

The others growers who qualified for the top 10 roster, in order of final standing, were: Briggs Farms Ltd. (Alan Briggs, Plaster Rock), Philip R. Roach Limited (Philip Roach, Grand Falls), Super Farms Potatoes Ltd. (Jean-Guy with sons Jules and Luc Levesque, St-André), Les Fermes L.P. Theriault (Léo-Paul Theriault and son Marc, Drummond), Bert Blaauw Farms (Bert Blaauw, St-Andre), Tepper Farms (Willem and son Erik Tepper, Drummond), Briggs Potato Ltd. (Ivan and Philip Briggs, Plaster Rock), Paul A. Daigle et Fils (Paul, sons Rino and Gerald Daigle, St-André) and Givskud Farms (Mogens and son Mike Givskud, Drummond).

Each received a plaque and a $1,000 cheque for their accomplishment.
