Fresh potatoes take a starring role and inspire families to build them into their weekly meal repertoires.

Thanks to its innovative ‘Me for a Day’ life swap experiment, which was captured on film and has been airing nationally, the Potato Council’s campaign to increase consumption of fresh potatoes amongst young mums is picking up pace.

This group was highlighted as being one of the lowest consumers of fresh potatoes, believing them to take too long to prepare. The full length documentary style film tackles this head-on by demonstrating the ease in which potatoes can be included in mid-week meals.

It is now available to view at www.britishpotatoes.co.uk, as well as clocking up numerous hits on You Tube and featuring on national newspaper websites. It follows farmer Matt Spanton as he invites a young family onto his farm before spending the day running their household and most importantly, making a quick, easy and nutritious meal with potatoes the whole family can enjoy.
