Kyrgyzstan: Indian entrepreneurs intend to construct potato processing plant in Talas

Beyshenbek Bolotbekov, the Governor of Talasskaya region, met with the entrepreneurs from India in Talas, CA-NEWS informs. The intention of the Indian entrepreneurs to construct the potato processing plant in Talas was discussed during this meeting.

The Kyrgyz party will provide the premises for the plants;Indian party supplies the equipment. The plant will produce chips.

The State Administration of Talasskaya region plans to construct the plant on the basis of the JSC "Azyk"the state owns 73% of shares of this enterprise. The parties plan to finish all documental agreements till March 14th, 2008. After that the practical work for the new plant launch will start.

According to the earlier provided information, Southern Korean corporation "Bistek"intended to open the potato processing plant in Keminskiy district of Chuyskaya region;the products of this plant will be 100% exported. There is a plan to produce seven types of products: starch, potato juice, proteins, gluten, ethyl alcohol, bio-ethanol, and CO2.
