Smorgon Food Factory in Belarus to start potato flakes production

Next year Smorgon Food Factory plans to start carrying out an investment project aimed at launching the production of potato flakes, BelTA learnt from director of the company Vadim Kozel.

According to him, the preliminary cost of the project is €4 million. The equipment costs a half of the sum. The processing capacity of the potato flakes production line is 500 kilos an hour. Thanks to the new production the factory will create 40 new jobs.

At present apart from making deliveries of semi-finished products (potato flakes) the company intends to set up the manufacture of final products – chips.
