After a three-week shutdown, Lamb Weston has fired up the potato processing plant it purchased from Twin City Foods.
"It's always rewarding when you start a plant back up,"said John Blair, plant operations manager.
Lamb Weston purchased the plant from Twin City Foods on Oct. 21 for $9.57 million, according to Benton County records.
Blair says Lamb Weston has made equipment upgrades that aim to improve quality, safety and efficiency at the plant.
The Prosser plant is now at full strength with a work force of 300 full-time employees, about 50 fewer than before the takeover.
