Following the success of the promotion campaign Potatoes, prepare to be surprised – Europe’s favourite since 1536 that was launched in 2020 and finished at the end of last year

Irish Farmers Association President Tim Cullinan said the recent incident of French baby potatoes being labelled with the Bord Bia Quality Assurance mark is unacceptable.

Over 1,000 delegates and 60 guest speakers are set to attend the World Potato Congress (WPC) at the end of the month, which is being hosted in Ireland for the first time. The 11th WPC will take place from May 30 to June 2, in Dublin’s RDS.

Meadowfresh Foods in Tallow, Co. Waterford and O'Shea Farms/Iverk Produce, based in Piltown, Co. Kilkenny, have joined forces to become Ireland’s first dedicated fresh chipping potato packer and distributor.
