Golden Wonder

Brand Description

Golden Wonder was founded in 1947 in Stockbridge, Edinburgh, and has been widely recognized in the British crisps and snacks company for decades. In 2006, Golden Wonder joined Tayto Group Limited, and its an exclusive brand of the company.

The brand was founded when baker William Alexander began frying sliced potatoes after his baking hours, naming the dish after the Golden Wonder type. Golden Wonder, known for its powerful and distinctive tastes, was a snack market pioneer, producing Ready Salted crisps in 1960 and Cheese & Onion crisps in 1962.

Over time, the brand expanded its portfolio to include a variety of crisps and snacks, including Ringos, Transform-A-Snack, Rough Cuts, and the Smarter Snacking line, appealing to a diverse audience. Golden Wonder crisps are fried in sunflower oil to obtain its distinctive golden colour and come in a variety of robust flavours such as Cheese & Onion, Salt & Vinegar, Sausage & Tomato, and Spring Onion. Ringos, a lighter snack created in the 1970s, is still a popular choice because it has less than 100 calories.

Transform-A-Snack offers a fun munching experience, whereas Rough Cuts are thick ridged crisps available in five flavors. Spicy Bikers, Tangy Toms, Awesome Oinks, and Quarterbacks are among the brand's popular Fun Snacks, all of which have strong flavor profiles. Golden Wonder has expanded its product line with Saucers, lattice-textured snacks in Sour Cream &; Onion and BBQ flavors, as well as Light & Loaded, multigrain waves with 50% less fat for a healthier alternative.

Golden Lights offers crisp selections with fewer than 100 calories, while Animal Adventures, a gluten-free snack with no artificial preservatives or colors, caters to younger consumers.
