The agrarian organization ASAJA de León is a professional association constituted under Law 19/1977 on Freedom of Association. Born by the federation of agricultural organizations UFADE de León and Provincial Center of Young Farmers of León.
The beginnings of the organizations that make up what is now ASAJA de León, date from December 15, 1985, when a group of farmers and ranchers, in the town of Santas Martas, elected a board of directors chaired by the farmer and rancher Demetrio Espadas Tie.
The agrarian organization has no political ideology and those responsible do not hold positions in political parties or public institutions.
