As John Griffin retires, World Potato Congress announces new leadership: Peter VanderZaag as President and CEO, Nora Olsen as Vice President and Brian Douglas as Director.

In only the third time in its 74-year history, the National Potato Council released a new logo that better reflects its public policy focus and roots in Washington, D.C.

The Idaho Potato Commission (IPC) recently announced the addition of Sam Eaton as the new Vice President of Legal and Government Affairs. Ross Johnson has been promoted to Vice President of Retail and International.

The World Potato Congress Inc. is very pleased to announce that effective July 01, 2022, André Devaux and Jaap Delleman have joined its Board of Directors. Prior to being appointed as a WPC Director, André Devaux was named as an International Advisor.

In as much as it’s possible, Jamey Higham, the new president and CEO of the Idaho Potato Commission, has potatoes in his blood. Higham, who in February took over leadership of the commission that promotes the state’s most famous product

United Potato Growers of Canada has hired a new General Manager, Victoria Stamper, of Mascouche, Quebec, a community just north of Montreal. Victoria will join United in this senior role, effective Monday, April 25th.

SNAC International President and CEO, Elizabeth Avery, recently announced the election of new Board officers and directors.

The United States Department of Agriculture appointed 33 new or returning members to serve three-year terms on the National Potato Promotion Board, Dba Potatoes USA. The new members will be sworn in at the organization’s Annual Meeting in March.

The National Potato Council’s (NPC) 2022 Washington Summit, Jared Balcom of Pasco, Washington, was elected to serve as NPC’s 2022 President and head the grower-led organization’s Executive Committee.

Paul Miller of Paul Miller Farms, Inc., Hancock, was inducted into the Wisconsin Potato and Vegetable Growers Association Hall of Fame at the industry’s annual awards banquet held February 9, 2022, in Stevens Point.
