Reser’s Fine Foods, Inc. to Purchase Assets of Orval Kent Food Company

Reser's Fine Foods Inc announced that on November 15, 2011 the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of Delaware accepted the bid from Reser’s Fine Foods, Inc. (“Reser’s”) to purchase substantially all of the assets and operations of Chef Solutions Inc. (“Chef Solutions”), a subsidiary of Chef Solutions Holdings, LLC., including those of its primary operating subsidiary, Orval Kent Food Company, LLC (“Orval Kent”). Reser’s will operate Orval Kent’s previous businesses, with a significantly strengthened balance sheet and improved liquidity.

As previously reported on October 4, Chef Solutions filed a voluntary petition for reorganization under Chapter 11 of the U.S. Bankruptcy Code with the U.S. Bankruptcy Court.

“Both companies are working diligently to ensure that Orval Kent customers experience a smooth transition as we integrate their operations,” stated Mark Reser, president and chief executive officer of Reser’s.
