Potato export ban in West Bengal fails to bring prices down

Potato prices have not declined in the West Bengal despite the government banning potato export from August 1 from the state.
"Potato wholesale price had inched upwards in July and the trend remains the same even in August. Wholesale price of the regular variety potato has moved upwards by Rs 60 to Rs 730-Rs 740 per 50 kg packet,"potato trade sources said.
