World Potato Congress welcomes International Advisor representing India

Allan Parker, President and CEO of World Potato Congress, Inc., announced the appointment of Dr. Bir Pal Singh, Director of the Central Potato Research Institute, Shimla, India, to the organization’s International Advisory Committee. President Parker noted Dr. Singh brings extensive and valuable experience to the Advisory Committee.
 
World Potato Congress Inc., consults, on an ongoing basis, with the Committee, noted Parker, “I know Dr. Singh’s contribution will be appreciated by both the Congress and the Indian potato industry he will represent.”
 
In his role as International Advisory Committee member, Dr. Singh will track and report on potato related issues throughout India, as well as offer advice to the World Potato Congress Inc., regarding programs and initiatives of the Congress. Dr. Singh’s academic and agricultural background makes him an ideal candidate to advise the Congress. His ability to work collaboratively with others is recognized and appreciated by his peers across the globe.
