Kiremko looks back on memorable 50th Anniversary & Opening new building

On 19th May 2017 Kiremko celebrated her 50th anniversary and the opening of the new building with all employees and guests from all over the world. For this special occasion the factory was transformed into an amazing party venue.

The show was opened by Maarten Camps, Secretary-General of the Ministry of Economic Affairs:

“It’s not only about the flowers, the cows or the milk that makes the Dutch economy interesting, but the potato delivers a great contribution as well”.

A special movie illustrated the journey Kiremko has made over the last 50 years, with a striking series of interviews that showed the warm relations with customers and strategic partners. This was followed by a magical show by the illusionist Hans Klok.

After a countdown and push on the button by Paul Oosterlaken, Andy Gowing and Marcel van Huissteden, the building was officially opened. A champagne toast ended the official proceeding and everybody joined the guided tours through the factory and offices.

With 3500 m2 for offices and 6160 m2 production facility, we can now offer our employees the space they need to produce the best equipment for our customers.

The hypermodern building is built with an eye for the environment. It is very energy efficient having solar panels and LED lighting throughout. The offices and the production area have underfloor heating which, during the summer, also can work as cooling system. The energy we save is recycled.

On Saturday all guests were treated to a day program in Amsterdam with a closing final being a spectacular party in the Maritime Museum. Additionally we had a celebration with regional entrepreneurs during the following week and a family day for the employees was also part of the festivities.

With great pride we look back at 50 years Kiremko and are proud to take the next steps into the future.
