Potato Bowl French Fry Feed Breaks the Record!

Over two and a half tons of french fries were served at the annual Potato Bowl French Fry Feed at University Park in Grand Forks on Thursday evening September 22, 5,010 pounds to be exact!

This breaks the old record by 120 pounds set in 2008.

Scott Lund from the J.R. Simplot Company organizes the french fry feed each year.

The J.R. Simplot Company furnishes all the french fries, oil, and condiments, along with volunteer help to run the event. The huge fryer that cranks out the fries was specially built for the Simplot Company and is a one of a kind!

Approximately 10,000 people attended the event.
