Anti-dumping tax on imported potato starch may end next year, China says
China's anti-dumping tax on potato starch imported from the European Union (EU) may expire on Feb 6 next year, said the Ministry of Commerce on Saturday.
But Chinese Starch producers could request for review on ending the tax 60 days before Feb 6 next year, said a notice on the Ministry of Commerce website.
The anti-dumping measure, effective on Feb 6, 2007, requires importers to pay a tax of 17 to 35 percent to Chinese customs.
The regulation was modified in 2011, resulting in duties ranging from 12.6 - 56.7%
