Australian provider of packaging machinery tna announced its acquisition of Arcall (www.arcall.co.uk), a leading supplier of innovative seasoning and cutting systems. As a result of the acquisition, tna can now offer multiple seasoning and spraying products along with an extensive range of specialised cheese cutting solutions, suitable for use across a wide variety of applications. These machines can also be easily integrated with tna’s existing portfolio of cutting-edge packaging equipment.
Commenting on the recent development, Bob Fritz, director of business development, tna, said: “This acquisition underlines our commitment to becoming a single source supplier of flexible, high performance food packaging solutions. Seasoning is an integral part of the manufacturing process and finding an effective seasoning system is vital for the success of any production line. Our acquisition of Arcall has given tna access to market-leading seasoning technology and now positions us as the only supplier of seasoning solutions for the whole production line – from the end of fryers or ovens right through to packing. We are confident this will bring added value and increased opportunities to customers and they, in turn, will reap the rewards.”
Pippa Woollard adds: “Thanks to tna’s extensive sales and distribution network, customers throughout the world will now be able to benefit from continued innovation and exceptional support – from installation to after-sales service. We’re delighted to join such a forward-thinking, successful organisation.”
Founded in 1961, Arcall has since established itself as a pioneer in the development of innovative continuous seasoning systems suitable for use in both wet and dry applications. Arcall’s machines for wet applications also feature a range of high performance cross band, spinning disc systems which can apply a wide variety of liquids to an array of products including biscuits, crackers, confectionery, pizza, fish, meat/poultry, baked goods, cereals as well as many other foods. The machines can apply numerous types of liquid to these products such as oils, slurries, egg or dairy solutions, barrier fats and syrups. They are used as flavourings, adhesive carriers, release agents, marinades and glazes for example.
This acquisition, which is effective immediately, comes after many years of effective collaboration between the two companies.
