Idahoan Foods is moving its corporate headquarters and about 70 employees from Jefferson County (Lewisville, about 20 miles North of Idaho Falls) to the heart of downtown Idaho Falls.

“We're very happy and honored to say we're moving down to Idaho Falls,” CEO Gordon Lewis said in front of a full City Council chambers on Thursday. “What it does is create the right culture and environment for employees.”

Lewis said the newly renovated, 17,000 square foot EICAP building on Constitution Way will offer more space for the growing business, proximity to the Idaho Falls airport, a central location and convenience for the majority of employees who live in the Idaho Falls area.

The Idahoan Foods CEO said the goal is to move in by October.
