Pennsylvania state money could fund new lab for Snyder's of Hanover

October 21, 2010
A new research and development facility could be heading for the Snyder's of Hanover campus in Penn Township.

Pennsylvania's state capital budget, which passed the House and Senate and was approved by Gov. Ed Rendell on Tuesday, sets aside $10 million toward the construction of the facility.   According to John Bartman, vice president, human resources for Snyder's of Hanover, planning is still in the "very preliminary"stages, and it's not clear when the money could be approved, what the total cost would be or when construction would start.
