Potato Council pushes National Chip Week

December 08, 2008
Fish and chip shops are to form the vanguard of Britain's biggest annual potato push. The Potato Council hopes next February's National Chip Week will mirror this year's success when over two-thirds of fish and chip shops increased sales over the week. The council has produced a flyer that can be passed on to customers, and shops can register for free promotional kits. A tenth of British potatoes go into the chip sector. Merchants can use National Chip Week lorry stickers and post their website link on to the Potato Council's lovechips.co.uk site.
