Martin van de Ven appointed as new CEO at Aviko

With effect from 1 April 2008 Martin van de Ven (53) will be appointed as CEO of Aviko, business group of Royal Cosun. In this capacity he will remain a member of Cosun’s Executive Board and he becomes responsible for Aviko’s national and international activities.

Since April 1985 Mr. van de Ven has worked for SVZ, also a business group of Cosun. He was appointed general manager of SVZ and a member of Cosun’s Executive Board on 1 January 2000.

He will succeed Wim Gerritsen (59). Mr. Gerritsen will stand down as CEO of Aviko at the end of March 2008 in connection with his retirement. He has worked for Aviko since 1971, where he has held a variety of management positions. He was appointed CEO of Aviko in September 2000. Following Cosun’s acquisition of Aviko, Mr. Gerritsen became a member of Cosun’s Executive Board.
