RJ Herbert Engineering launches an affordable optical potato sorter, the DDS 1300 ML Autosort. This market entry model optical sorter gives lower cost entry whilst maintaning high quality electronic grading of your potatoes.
The sorter is a vision based system for the efficient separation of defective potatoes. Defects are classified using colour cameras and image analysis software. The autosort can typically remove over 75 % of defective tubers. Detectable defetcs are Green, Rot, Cracks, Cuts, Shape, Skin discolouration, Bruise, Mechanical damage, Scab, Soil, Black scurf and Silver Scurf, Size and Colour.
