HarvestEye is a cost-effective method to deliver visible shape and mapping variability of potatoes and onions
PotatoEurope: Harvest Insights tool to make debut in France
Machine-Learning driven crop insights tool HarvestEye is set to make its exhibition debut in France – showcasing its actionable insights to growers, packers and processors as interest continues to grow across Northwestern Europe.
HarvestEye will be unveiled for the first time in France at Potato Europe on 11 and 12 September in Villers-Saint-Christophe, Aisne, demonstrating its latest 2.0 iteration and Handheld system to the event’s 15,000 visitors. HarvestEye also recently made its debut in The Netherlands at potato demonstration event Aardappel DemoDag in Westmaas, south of Rotterdam.
HarvestEye is a cost-effective method to deliver visibility - via an online portal - on root crop harvests, currently including potatoes and onions. The system can be fitted to grading equipment, harvest machinery for when the crop is being lifted, as well as the Handheld system that can be used for in-field test digs.
Harry Tinson, General Manager at HarvestEye:
"By diversifying our product base through HarvestEye Handheld, strengthening partnerships and expanding the opportunities for new customers to experience HarvestEye firsthand. 2024 has been the strongest year to date for the business and we currently have more than 170 units distributed to customers worldwide. Our users are constantly feeding back on how they are utilising the system to optimise their operations and are making significant savings to operational costs."
"Following Aardappel DemoDag, Potato Europe provides the perfect opportunity to continue growing in Northwestern Europe by engaging with the French, Flemish and wider European markets, sharing how HarvestEye can be suited to the characteristics and challenges with growing in a cooler oceanic climate, as growers look towards next year's harvest."
Later in the autumn, HarvestEye will be attending potato trade fair Interpom in Belgium from 24-26 November at Kortrijk Xpo in Kortrijk, the final European event that HarvestEye will be exhibiting at in 2024.
Vidyanath (Vee) Gururajan, managing director of HarvestEye:
"Northwestern Europe is a major potato and onion market and our regular event attendance enables us to engage on the ground with interested growers, packers and processors, providing the best platforms to demonstrate the value and flexibility of the HarvestEye system."
"Internationally we continue to have great appetite for customers to demo and purchase units, from our reseller partnership with Elders in Australia to growers on Prince Edward Island and across North America. The feedback and interest continue to be incredibly positive, and we’re excited to keep the momentum going at Potato Europe and Interpom."
Growers, packers and processors are encouraged to secure subscription, rental and lease options on HarvestEye units.
