The Board of Tomra Systems ASA appoints Tove Andersen as President and CEO for the TOMRA Group

Tove brings extensive international industrial experience. During her 24 years, she held several positions in Yara International spanning operational and strategic responsibilities of increasing scope.

She has been Executive Vice President, Production, Executive Vice President, Supply Chain and has had several management roles within Yara and Norsk Hydro/Yara. She started in Norsk Hydro in 1997.

Tove holds a master’s degree in Business Administration from BI Norwegian Business School and a master’s degree in physics and mathematics from the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU).

TOMRA was founded on an innovation in 1972 that began with the design, manufacturing and sale of reverse vending machines (RVMs) for automated collection of used beverage containers. Today TOMRA provides technology-led solutions that enable the circular economy with advanced collection and sorting systems that optimize resource recovery and minimize waste in the food, recycling and, mining industries and is committed to building a more sustainable future.

Stefan Ranstrand, announced in October 2020 his desire to step down during 2021. As requested by the Board, he will continue as President and CEO until Tove takes over. Tove will take over at the latest 1st November 2021.
