Irish Potato Marketing Limited (“IPM”) now IPM Potato Group Limited

Irish Potato Marketing Limited, one of the leading companies in potato variety breeding and in the production, marketing and distribution of seed potatoes since 1950 today announced that it has changed its name to IPM Potato Group Limited effective immediately.

IPM produce and supply certified quality seed potatoes from bases in Europe and South America. The company has offices in Ireland, Scotland, Holland, France and Brazil and also has licensing agreements for production and marketing of their varieties in other regions of the world.

The company have a catalogue of 30 proprietary potato varieties and they are the leading seed potato company in Ireland with the highly successful potato variety ‘Rooster’. IPM is also the largest exporter of protected varieties from the UK and currently export seed to over 35 countries.

The renaming serves to communicate more accurately the current scope of the company’s activities and structure.
