As announced a year ago, Stefan Scheiber is now CEO of Bühler.

He succeeds Calvin Grieder, who will focus on his role as Chairman of the Board.

Stefan Scheiber at the occasion of the CEO handover:

As a result of this change, additional executive positions in the Grains & Food business have been reassigned.

The appointment of Stefan Scheiber stands for continuity and accelerated change at Bühler. Stefan Scheiber (50, Swiss) has been with the solution provider for industrial process technologies since 1988. In the course of his 25-year career, he has led various sales and production organizations at all management levels in Kenya, South Africa, Germany, and Switzerland.

Stefan Scheiber has been CEO of Bühler since July 1, 2016.

He studied Business Management at St. Gallen University of Applied Sciences, and later continued his education at the IMD in Lausanne and Harvard Business School in Boston.

From 1988, he worked abroad in different management positions for 15 years, including in East and South Africa, Eastern Europe and Germany. In 1999, Stefan Scheiber took over worldwide responsibility for the Brewery and Rice business units, then the entire responsibility for Bühler in Germany.

From mid-2005, he led the Sales & Services business as a member of the Group's Executive Committee, then from 2009, he led the Food Processing business.

In 2014, he brought together the two business units of Food Processing and Grain Processing and has since then functioned as CEO of Grains & Food activities.
Calvin Grieder, who has been serving as CEO since 2000 and additionally acted as Chairman of the Board of Bühler since 2014, will focus on his position as Chairman.

Johannes Wick took charge as CEO of Grains & Food as of April 1, 2016, and is now also a member of Bühler’s Executive Board. Johannes Wick joined the Bühler Group as head of the Grain Milling business unit in 2014. Previously, he held various management positions in the global energy and infrastructure industry for more than 20 years.

Johannes Wick leads as CEO the Bühler division Grains & Food since April 1, 2016.

He joined Bühler in 2014 and took over the management of the largest business area, Grain Milling.

Before that, he was working more than twenty years in different management positions in the energy and infrastructure sector at ABB and Alstom.

Johannes Wick earned a master's degree in engineering at the ETH in Zurich and an MBA from IESE in Barcelona.

He expanded his knowledge with an exchange at MIT (Massachusetts Institute of Technology) in Boston.
