Europatat Congress 2015: “Potato Market - A creative approach

Europatat, the European Potato Trade Association, and DKHV, the German Potato Trading Association (Deutscher Kartoffelhandelsverband), are pleased to announce the dates for the annual Europatat Congress, that this year will take place in Düsseldorf (Germany) from 7 to 9 May 2015.

Under the slogan “Potato Market - A creative approach”, the Congress will focus on providing fresh creative ideas for the industry. Among the keynote speakers are Niels Alzen (Creative Director Scholz & Friends) and Prof. Dr. h.c. Harald von Witzke (Humboldt University Berlin) that will talk about the value of modern agriculture to society. Further speakers will be announced soon. Dipl.-Ök. Thomas Herkenrath, F. Jungnickel GmbH & Co. KG Neuss, Vice-Chairman of Europatat and President-designate of DKHV, stated: “We are delighted to be part of the organisation for the 2015 Europatat Congress that will be held in Düsseldorf, the bustling Rhine metropolis in the heart of Europe. As a well established event, we hope to bring plenty of new inspiration and ideas to the potato sector and its professionals.”

The congress will bring together the key decision makers in the European potato sector, and besides the professional working programme, it will also offer several social events organised to reinforce the networking and contact among the European potato community.

Participants will also have the chance to review the different activities of Europatat during the meetings of the various Europatat Commissions (seed potatoes, ware potatoes, early potatoes & packers and technical & regulatory issues). These sessions will also feature different guest speakers.
