FRUIT LOGISTICA is the leading international meeting place of the fresh produce trade.

From 5th to 7th February 2014, approximately 2,500 companies from across the entire fresh produce – including global players as well as small and medium-sized suppliers from all around the world - will be presented in Berlin.

For three whole days, FRUIT LOGISTICA provides:
  • an across-the-board presence of top international exhibitors
  • an excellent platform for initiating business deals
  • excellent opportunities for making worldwide business contacts
  • a unique opportunity to gain a complete overview of the latest trends in the fresh produce business

The conference programme

A wide-ranging series of lectures, seminars and podium discussions will provide trade visitors with plenty of information about current issues, challenges and trends throughout the sector. The “ 33rd Fresh Produce Forum ” at the ICC Berlin will form the prelude to FRUIT LOGISTICA on 4 February, the day before the exhibition opens, with a spotlight on “Convincing the consumer – emotion at the point of sale!”.

Eight Hall Forums will be staged on the following three days of the trade fair. The lectures will be held in the Hall Forum (“Kleiner Stern”, between Halls 18 and 11.2). The topics of these events, hosted by Düsseldorf-based FRUCHTHANDEL MAGAZINE, are as follows:

11:00 - 12:00: “Competence in trade – how to impress your customers”
15:00 - 16:00: “Water – scarce, valuable, indispensable”

6 February 2014
11:00 - 12:00: “Tomatoes – international production and consumption”
13:00 - 14:00: “Argentina, a reliable partner with history, tradition and experience in the fruit business”
15:00 - 16:00: “Russia – the impact of WTO membership”
16:30 - 18:30: “IFS Standards – News for the fruit & vegetable branch”

11:00 - 12:00: “Sustainability – appearance and reality”
13:00 - 14:00: “Innovation and the fruit trade – adding value to the supply chain”

All the events will be translated simultaneously into English, German, French, Italian and Spanish.

Two sector-specific prizes , the FRUCHTHANDEL MAGAZINE Retail Award (presented on 4 February) and the “FLIA” FRUIT LOGISTICA INNOVATION AWARD (7 February), will honour outstanding achievements across the fresh produce market.

Innovation of the Year

FRUIT LOGISTICA will be rolling out the red carpet on 7 February 2014 when the winner of the FRUIT LOGISTICA Innovation Award (FLIA) is announced at a special award ceremony. Regarded as the most coveted innovation award in the fresh produce industry. The FLIA is presented for outstanding new products and services that are ready to set new trends in the marketplace. Ten candidates for the final round are selected by a panel of experts from hundreds of submissions. FRUIT LOGISTICA visitors vote for the innovation of the year at the FLIA stand located in the passageway between Halls 20 and 21.
